We're back in the Bay Area, staying on Rick and Shelley's driveway. It's so kind of them to let us crash here, and it's great for us, giving us some more space. Of course, the kids love it as they get to see Maddy and Ryan all the time, as well as spending time playing on their trampoline. How they love the trampoline! It's a great way of getting rid of excess enegry I tell you.
On our way down here we stopped for a couple of days in Oakland to see San Francisco. We didn't realize it, but the campsite was about 20 miles outside San Francisco and the traffic was horrible, taking us an hour to an hour and a half to get into the city. On the positive side, it was a lovely city park in the middle of nowhere, right up in the Oakland Hills. You wouldn't believe we were so close to civilization as it was so quiet.
It was great to see all our favorite sights in the city. It's funny, but given all our miles and all the cities that we've seen, San Francisco is still our favorite. I'm not saying I want to live there or anything, but to visit, it's the best!
Now it's getting ready for Thanksgiving and sorting out all our stuff in the RV. It's a little strange being back here and we're not exactly sure what that means for the future. More on that I'm sure next week.
In the meantime, have a great holiday unless you're English in which case, go out down the pub and have one for me (with a bag or Walker's cheese and onion crisps ....).
All our love, Phil, Tracey, Ally and Josh.
